A Wall That Weaves Time
In the Welcome Lounge of the new factory, bricks from the beloved outer walls of the former factory have been transplanted and incorporated into the design. These bricks represent the company’s dedication to pursuing quality and safety over the years and symbolize the continuation of this mission in the new environment. Visitors are encouraged to touch them and feel the heart of the factory.

Can You Enter?
The welcoming entrance features a striking accent wall of Shigaraki pottery tiles. Beyond this lies an entryway with pest- and rodent-proofing for hygiene. The design ensures that entry from the outside and exit from within cannot occur simultaneously, maintaining a consistently clean environment.
-
The Wall That Never Sleeps
Set against the backdrop of Kusatsu's clear blue skies, a 30-meter white wall rises as a key feature of the factory, enclosing the newly implemented automated warehouse. This facility enables 24-hour unmanned operation, reducing employee workload while enhancing inventory management precision.

Is This a Title Match?
In the adjacent open office next to the Welcome Lounge, OCW has been introduced to foster natural communication and collaboration, facilitating an autonomous work style. This innovative space encourages employees to move freely within the area, generating spontaneous interactions and new ideas in a dynamic environment.

What’s Your Rank?
Mine Is…Our company has worked toward creating an environment that considers employee health and community harmony. The new factory adopts wastewater treatment technology and environmentally friendly materials, embodying sustainability. As a result, it became the first in Japan's hair cosmetics industry to achieve the top “S Rank” in CASBEE (Comprehensive Assessment System for Built Environment Efficiency) as of May 31, 2024.* (*Based on company research)

A Wall of Infinite Holes
The striking façade of the building takes inspiration from Shiga Prefecture's renowned yoshizu reed screens, a local specialty. The design reflects the calm expanse of Lake Biwa and the sparkling surface of its waters. By incorporating materials that allow soft light and provide effective thermal insulation, the building achieves a 30% reduction in energy consumption, combining beauty with functionality.

A Poetic Place
The Dining Area in the new factory is an open, sunlit space with floor-to-ceiling glass windows on the south side, offering views of seasonal landscapes. It serves as a relaxing venue for meals and meetings. If the famous poet Basho were to visit, he might compose a haiku inspired by its comfort:
“I'd rather stay here / Than return to my own home / The new factory”
